Cedar Rock is a dedicated Golden Retriever breeder in Snohomish, Washington. We love it here and we are proud to raise our puppies in a setting that reflects the very best of the Pacific Northwest. Surrounded by the natural beauty and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure—from hiking and swimming to local farmers markets and festivals—our dogs grow in a peaceful, enriching environment that supports both their development and overall well-being.
Our journey with Golden Retrievers began almost twelve years ago when we welcomed our first two into our family. That experience created a lasting bond and a deep respect for the breed—one that continues to guide everything we do today. What began as love for our own dogs has grown into a meaningful commitment to help other families experience the same companionship, loyalty, and joy.
We are excited to share that we are thoughtfully preparing for our first litter, expected in Spring 2028. As we build the foundation of our program, we are intentionally focusing on quality, integrity, and long-term vision. We specialize in champion-line English Cream (European) Golden Retrievers, selected for their proven pedigrees, sound structure, and exceptional temperaments—outgoing, eager to please, and naturally gentle.
Every dog entering our program undergoes thorough temperament evaluations, genetic screening, and comprehensive health testing, including OFA and PennHIP clearances. This thoughtful preparation reflects our commitment to producing puppies with excellent health, strong structure, and the steady, loving temperament Golden Retrievers are known for.
As a boutique program, we are intentionally planning a limited number of litters to ensure each puppy receives individualized care from the very beginning. Starting on day three, we will implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), laying a strong foundation during those critical early days.
Our puppies will be raised in our home with daily, hands-on care and thoughtfully planned exposure to a variety of experiences—from everyday household sounds to grooming, car rides, and water play. Beginning at four weeks, we will introduce crate training, potty routines, and early impulse control, all designed to build confidence, resilience, and adaptability.
We will dedicate extensive time to observing and evaluating each puppy, including the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test, while keeping you informed throughout the process. Just as importantly, we will take time to get to know you—your lifestyle, your home, and your vision—so we can thoughtfully guide you to the puppy that is the best fit for your family.
Finding a European (English Cream) Golden Retriever suited for life in the Pacific Northwest requires the right breeder. With their sturdy build, calm temperament, and natural versatility, these dogs thrive alongside families who enjoy hiking wooded trails, exploring mountain landscapes, swimming in lakes, and embracing the outdoors year-round.
