The photo above is of Ranger, our first male Golden, who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He was our beloved gentle giant and continues to inspire us to select only proven, healthy sires for our breeding program. At Cedar Rock Golden Retrievers, our stud selection process is thoughtful, deliberate and rooted in a steadfast commitment to preserving and improving the Golden Retriever breed. We carefully seek healthy, titled males (AKC or UKC), whos pedigrees compliment our females and align with our goals for sound genetics, exceptional conformation, and balanced temperament. Each prospective stud must meet the highest standards, with complete DNA testing and OFA and CHIC health certifications for hips, elbows, eyes, and heart, ensuring the utmost integrity in our program. Every decision is made with purpose and care—to produce puppies that embody the beauty, intelligence, and gentle spirit that are the breed standard.
